The insurance plan is part of the customer-centric approach to enhance support for customers and reinforce long-term confidence.
As Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMM) progresses in its network development, it is also looking at how it can enhance support for customers as part of its customer-centric approach. One of the ways is to ensure that the owner’s Hyundai vehicle is properly protected against theft and damage.
For this, the company will offer the Hyundai Protection Plan, designed to provide customers with more comprehensive, flexible and simplified protection, reinforcing long-term confidence and peace of mind. HMM is collaborating with leading insurance partners such as Allianz, Berjaya Sompo, Tokio Marine, Etiqa, and Takaful Ikhlas to develop the Hyundai Protection Plan.

While customers are always free to choose an insurance company of their own choice, there are advantages in having insurance coverage recommended by the car company. In the case of the Hyundai Protection Plan, vehicle owners will benefit from an extensive suite of offerings, including agreed value coverage of up to 15 years in the event of accident or theft, desktop claims approval of up to RM30,000 within 24 hours, unlimited towing and round-the-clock roadside assistance.
There is also zero-gap coverage which ensures that if a vehicle is written off (total loss claim), the payout covers the difference between the insurance settlement and the original invoice price, protecting the owner’s initial investment.
The introduction of the Hyundai Protection Plan coincides with the appointment of new dealerships to represent the Korean brand. “At Hyundai Motor Malaysia, we are guided by our theme ‘Sentiasa di sisi anda‘. This means we are committed to our customers and our partners for the long-term,” said Eric Lee, President of Hyundai Motor Malaysia.
