KL International Mobility Show (KLIMS) to be held in June 2026

With the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) having taken a collaborative approach on motorshows, each organisation will hold a motorshow once every two years. This year, MARii has held its Malaysia Auto Show in May so 2026 will see the MAA holding KLIMS – the KL International Mobility Show (originally known as KL International Motor Show.

The KL International Mobility Show (originally known as the KL International Motor Show) has been held since the late 1970s.

11th edition of motorshow
KLIMS 2026 will be the 11th edition of the event which has been held since the 1970s. The venue will again be the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from June 12 – 21, 2026. The event is listed on the calendar of Tourism Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

With the theme ‘Beyond Mobility’, KLIMS 2026 will build on its legacy as Malaysia’s leading automotive and mobility showcase. Visitors will see the latest innovations shaping the future of transportation — from electrification and alternative energy to smart mobility solutions — with some brands previewing future models to be launched. The event will also continue its role as a catalyst for industry collaboration and consumer engagement.

As in past motorshows presented by the Malaysian Automotive Association since the late 1970s, visitors will have a glimpse of what cars of the future could look like.

With national strategies focused on electrification, intelligent infrastructure, and public‑private partnerships, the automotive sector is evolving through breakthroughs in connectivity, automation, and urban mobility solutions. KLIMS 2026 will serve as a key platform for these ambitions — bringing together innovators, industry leaders, policymakers, and consumers to shape Malaysia’s role as a regional hub for next‑generation mobility.

While MARii (an agency under the Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry) will not be the organiser, it nevertheless is a strategic partner with the MAA and, through KLIMS 2026, will continue to explore new ventures that enhance the automotive ecosystems in alignment with the National Automotive Policy 2020.

With electric mobility being promoted by the government, there will be new EVs on show. At KLIMS 2024, Perodua revealed a concept model of its upcoming EV which will be launched before the end of 2025.

Supportd by key industry associations
KLIMS 2026 is supported by key industry associations such as the Automotive Federation Malaysia, Motorcycle and Scooter Assemblers and Distributors Association of Malaysia, and the Malaysian Automotive Component Parts Manufacturers Association.

“The return of KLIMS in 2024 proved to be a success, attracting over 183,000 visitors, with over 70 leading automotive and mobility brands exhibiting and unveiling some of the most exciting mobility innovations ever seen in Malaysia. Next year, with KLIMS 2026 ‘Beyond Mobility’, we anticipate even more showcases from brands, targeting more audiences and in hopes to further expand Malaysians’ understanding and imaginations in innovation, sustainability, and the limitless possibilities of mobility,” said Mohd Shamsor bin Mohd Zain, President of the MAA.

MG Cyberster electric sportscar, with its scicssors doors, was one of the crowd-pullers at the 2024 event.

Bigger and better
According to Richard Teo, Executive Chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia, the event manager for the event, KLIMS 2026 will return bigger and better. “We’ve curated KLIMS 2026 to be an experience that goes beyond static displays — combining engaging showcases, live technology demonstrations, and networking opportunities that bring together global brands, local innovators, and consumers across all means of mobility,” he said.

“The show will also be expanded across 10 days next year, and we are preparing to market exhibition booths across 8 exhibition halls, making KLIMS 2026 our biggest shows to date. Our aim is to make KLIMS 2026 the most engaging and commercially impactful edition yet, where every visitor leaves inspired and every exhibitor leaves with new opportunities,” Mr. Teo promised.
