Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced the appointment of Takashi Sakamaki as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Shinya Ikeda, who led the company since October 2021.
Mr. Sakamaki has held several senior positions in Mitsubishi Corporation, contributing significantly to the company’s global growth. He brings over 20 years of international experience in the automotive industry, with deep expertise in business strategy, export operations, and market development across key countries such as China, Indonesia, and Mexico

Under Mr Ikeda’s leadership, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia launched the sixth generation of the Mitsubishi Triton and introduced the facelifted XPANDER, which has become the best-selling non-national MPV in the country.
