This has been PROTON’s busiest year with more new models being launched than at any other year since 1985. After recently launching the Proton e.MAS 5, the waiting list already has 10,000 names and following the announcement of the estimated price of the New Saga on November 10, the number of orders received nationwide has also reached 10,000.
Both are impressive numbers, reflecting the strong appeal of the new products which are also from a Malaysian automaker. Of course, the prices also play a big part, maintaining PROTON’s original mission of providing Malaysians with affordable mobility.

The e.MAS 5 is priced from RM59,800 for the Prime version and RM72,800 for the Premium version. But those who book and register one before the end of 2025 will get a RM3,000 rebate which drops the cheaper version to as low as RM56,800 (excluding insurance). Just three years ago, who would have thought that you could get an EV for such a low price?
As for the New Saga, the estimated price is between RM40,000 to RM50,000, with three versions available. Like the e.MAS 5, there is also an Early Bird offer for those who book and register their New Saga before December 31, 2025. This offer is, however, limited to a maximum of 20,000 customers who book before the launch day which is now known to be November 27, 2025.
With 10,000 bookings already secured, only 10,000 more customers remain eligible for the offer which consists of free service for the first 12 months (or maximum of 20,000 kms) and a Limited Edition All-New Saga Touch ‘n Go card.

PROTON has built up stocks of the New Saga which is made at the factory in Tg. Malim, Perak for the first time as the original factory in Selangor has ceased operations. Customers who have completed the purchase process will begin receiving their cars immediately after the launch.
“The All-New Saga is more than just a car; it’s a symbol of national progress, reimagined for a new generation. To receive 10,000 bookings in only 5 days is both humbling and inspiring, and we thank Malaysians for their trust and support,” said Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, Deputy CEO of PROTON.
“To ensure that customers can experience the All-New Saga as soon as possible, our production team in Tanjong Malim has been working diligently to ramp up supply, with vehicle deliveries set to begin immediately after the official launch,” he added.

To celebrate the overwhelming response, the All-New Saga is appearing at popular local food spots with the IKONIK TOGETHER-GATHER campaign. Following its first stops at Tapak Urban Street Dining, KLCC and Tebing, Bandar Dato’ Onn, Johor, IKONIK TOGETHER-GATHER will continue at Tapak Gravitas Jalan Baru, Penang and CarBoot Sale Taman Kerang, Kuantan from November 21 – 23. The Malaysian public will be able to get a close look at the New Saga at the two sites.
